Julijana Velichkovska was born in Skopje, North Macedonia, 1982. She is an author of a monograph Twenty Years of Velestovo Poetry Night (2009, VPN), two poetry collections: Mosquitoes (2010, VPN) and Open book (2017, PNV Publikacii) as well as a novel – The Seasons (2014, PNV Publikacii). She writes poetry, prose and she is a translator. Her poetry is translated in eleven languages. Her poetry was also published in many anthologies of Macedonian contemporary poetry published in North Macedonia, Serbia, Czech Republic and Italy, as well as one world contemporary poetry anthology published in China. Her novel The Seasons was translated in Bulgarian by Poli Mukanova and published by Ergo, Sofija, Bulgaria in April 2017. Julijana Velichkovska is a board member of the international poetry festival Velestovo Poetry Night – Ohrid. She is a member of the Macedonian Writers' Association. She is the founder of the publishing house PNV Publikacii in Skopje, North Macedonia.
