Igor Kotjuh (b. 1978) was born in Võru. He holds a degree in Estonian Language and Literature from the University of Tartu and also studied Translation and Interpretation at Tallinn University. Although he writes in Estonian, Igor Kotjuh’s primary language is Russian. He translates Estonian poetry, essays and children’s literature into Russian and Russian poetry and essays into Estonian. His poetry books published so far are: Когда наступит завтра? (When Will Tomorrow Come, 2004), Teises Keeles (In Another Language, 2007), Попытка партнерства (An Attempt at Partnership, 2008), Usaldusliin (Trust Line, 2010), эстонский дизайн (Estonian Design, 2013) και Естественно особенный случай (A Naturally Special Story, 2017).
