[Anthologist and translator] (1983, Patras) Her name, which means cunning madness, also signifies the concept chosen by Sofia Argyropoulou for her work. She is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and has also studied Spanish translation. She is well-versed in 5 foreign languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian and German) and her main field of interest is the translation of English and Spanish poetry. She has published two poetry books: “Evenini Dini” (Ebony Vortex), published by Peri Technon in 2007, and “Erimia Pathon” (The Desolation of Passions), published by Vakxikon.gr in 2012. She is also author of the novel “Daimonas Horis Taftotita” (The Demon with No Identity), also published by Vakxikon.gr in 2015. She is compiler and translator of the poems in the “Anthology of Contemporary Spanish Poetry” (publ. by Vakxikon, 2013) and has also translated into Greek Roberto García de Mesa’s theatrical play “Hamlet Post Scriptum” (publ. by Vakxikon, 2017) and the poem “Desertar” (Desertion) by the Catalan poet Arnau Pons (publ. by Vakxikon Publications, 2018). Her poems and prose works have been featured in many literary websites, while several of her poems have also been translated into Spanish. She is also a painter.
