Arvis Viguls (1987) is a poet, literary critic, and translator. He works with English, Spanish, Russian, and Serbo-Croatian languages, and has translated works of such distinguished, and challenging authors as J. Brodsky, F.G. Lorca, W. Whitman, W.B. Yeats, etc. Arvis Viguls is the author of two well received poetry collections - The Room (Riga, Satori, 2009), and 5:00 (2012). His poems have been published in anthologies and literary magazines in English, German, Russian, and other languages. He has worked as the host of the literature segment for NABA radio. He lives and writes in Riga, and is currently working on his third collection of poems. Arvis Viguls is also praised among readers and his fellow writers as a diligent professional, and a precise and accurate critic, editor and reviewer. He often participates in literary festivals, readings, and international poetry events.
