Anna Terék was born in 1984 in Backa Topola, Voivodina, Yugoslavia. She completed her primary education there and then went on to Subotica to secondary grammar school. After that she moved to Budapest and studied psychology in Eötvös Loránd University. She graduated in 2012 as a psychologist, consultant and school psychologist. She has been working as a school psychologist in Budapest since.
Her first volume of poetry was published in 2007 followed by her second in 2011 which won her an award the same year. She wrote several plays too, her first, titled ‘The best are to apply’ was shown in the Serbian National Theatre of Novi Sad. Her volume of plays: ‘Voivodina wedding’ was published in 2016. Her latest poetry book: ‘Dead women’ came out in the spring of 2017.
