Jan Škrob (1988) was born in Prague. He is the author of two poetry collections Pod dlažbou (EMAN, 2016) and Reál (Malvern, 2018). For the first collection Pod dlažbou he was in 2017 nominated for DILIA Litera literary award for Book Debut, in 2018 he won the Dresdner Lyrikpreis literary award ((together with the German poet Bastian Schneider). He is also active as a translator, among others he translated the works of Wole Soyinka, Ben Okri and Denise Levertov.
