Christos Siorikis (1989) grew up in Agrinio and currently lives in Athens. He studied in the Department of Primary Education at the University of Athens and then specialised in literature didactics. He teaches Spanish to children and adults and organizes creative literature activities. He has translated amongst others; Julio Cortazar’s books, The Bear’s Discourse, for its illustrated version (Papyros Publishing, 2015) and The Enchantment of Words (Exantas Publishing, 2020). He studies the works of Greek writer Zacharias Papantoniou and has edited the section of the September 2016 issue of literary journal Nea Estia dedicated to the afore mentioned writer. He is a member of the group Omada Asty, which organises walks in Athens that aim in the public’s contact with the city’s various locations and history, often through literature. His poems have been published in journals and anthologies and have been translated in German and Hebrew. His book titled Η Πρώτη Φορά (The First Time) has been published by Antipodes Publications (2018) and it was nominated for the prize of the review Anagnostis.
