Maša Seničić (Belgrade, 1990) is a screenwriter and poet. She completed her theatrical studies and obtained a master's degree in film theory from the Belgrade Drama School, where she holds a PhD in film theory, media and culture. She has participated in various local and international research projects in the field of cinema, but also in theater and radio. She is a member of the committee of the program "Brave Balkans" in the framework of the Creative Film Festival and one of the contributors of Filmkultura. She writes prose, poetry, essays and other types of texts that have been published in magazines, collective volumes, anthologies and various websites. Her first collection of poems Ocean was honored with the award "The Young Des" (2015), while her second poetry book of Sporadic like the weekend districts was published in the publishing series 12/19 (Third Square, 2019). For this book was honored with the "Dušan Vasiljev" award. Her poems have been translated into English, Dutch, Greek, Hungarian, Albanian and Slovenian. In recent years she has been working as an editor and journalist, while at the same time participating in independent programs and publications.
