Nathaniel Rudavsky-Brody was born in 1984 in Ohio, United States. He is a translator, mainly of The Idea of Perfection: The Poetry and Prose of Paul Valéry, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2020. For the translation of Benjamin Fontaine's Ulysses (Syracuse University Press, 2017) he won the Susan Sontag Prize for Translation. He also collaborated on the same poet's work Cinepoems and Others (NYRB, 2016). He has published two poetry collections in French, En lieu de silence (In the place of silence), in 2019 by Cormier and Même la langue (Even Language), in 2017 in L’Arbre à Paroles.
