Sílvie Rothkovic (b. 1981) is native of Barcelona. She began her career in the field of music, which remains for her a point of reference and source of inspiration, alongside visual arts and other sources aside from the tradition of Catalan poetry. Despite the fact that she has appeared in major poetry festivals, she avoids reciting her works before audiences and appearing in public events, opting to remain more or less distant from such practices. She lives in the forest with her family and spends her time teaching and composing music. Rothkovic has published the following books: “Helicòpter” (publ. by LaBreu, 2007), “Altres arbres” (Other trees, publ. by Tria Llibres, 2011), “Pianos i tunels” (Pianos and tunnels, publ. by LaBreu, 2013) and “La nit que és dins el dia” (The night within the day, publ. by LaBreu, 2018).
