Pierrine Poget (1982) was born in Geneva to a Swiss father and an English-Romanian mother. She studied Contemporary French Literature and History of Art at the University of Geneva. Visual arts, and painting in particular, have deeply affected her way of writing; in fact, painting is the principal reason she decided to become a writer. She has so far published three books: “C’etait le mois de tailles” (It was the month of pruning, 2013), “Ils étaient six ou sept, nés d’octobre” (They were six or seven, born in October, 2015) and “Fondations” (Foundations, 2017). “Fondations” is a narrative poem that won the Grand Prix C.F.Ramuz and was translated into Spanish. Her texts were recently translated and featured in various magazines. She is the co-founder of C-FAL, a centre for literary and art education based in Geneva, gathering both amateurs and professionals in the fields of plastic arts, architecture, philosophy and literature. Poget herself teaches creative writing classes in C-FAL.
