Martin Poch was born in 1984 in Ostrov, Western Bohemia. In 2011 he graduated from the Charles University Prague in aesthetics and comparative literature. Currently he lives and works in Prague as the manager of various e-learning and educational projects. After publishing on-line he went on to publish poems in magazines (e.g. Tvar, Souvislosti, Host). His poems were present in anthology Nejlepší české básně 2013 (Best Czech Poetry). In 2014 he was nominated for Cena Jiřího Ortena award designed for writers under 30 years of age. Between 2009 and 2017 he has gradually published his nameless poetic tetralogy. Nowadays his new manuscript called Strana is about to be finished. Selected poems come from the 3rd part of tetralogy (Cesta k lidem, 2015).
