Marco Pelliccioli (1982) was born in the town of Seriate and holds a degree in Cinema and Literature Studies from La Sapienza University in Rome. He is currently employed in the publishing house De Agostini. He is author of L’Orfano (The Orphan, publ. by LietoColle-Pordenonelegge, 2016), which won the Premio Inedito Colline di Torino in 2015 and was a finalist for the Rimini Prize in 2016. His book C’è Nunzia in cortile (Nunzia in the Courtyard, publ. by LietoColle, 2014) was a finalist for the Città di Como, Mauro Maconi and Mario Pannunzio literary awards and winner of the 2015 Alberto Andronico prize. His 2009 book Vapore Metropolitano (Metropolitan Vapors, publ. by Albatros) won third place in the Mario Pannunzio awards in 2009. Several of his works were translated into English and featured in “Versopolis”, a journal for European poetry, books and culture. Pelliccioli’s novel A due passi dal treno (The train passes at two, publ. Eclissi, 2015) received a honorable mention by the committee for the Italo Calvino prize in 2015.
