Maarja Pärtna (b. 1986) was born in Ida-Viru County and currently lives in Tartu. She studied English Language and Literature and received a Master’s Degree in World Literature from the University of Tartu. She has worked as literary editor and managing editor for the cultural newspaper Müürileht and as poetry editor for the youth literary magazine Värske Rõhk. She currently works as writer, translator, journalist and publisher. She has published the following poetry collections: Rohujuurte juures (At the Grassroots, 2010), Läved ja tüved (Thresholds and Pillars, 2013), Saamises (Becoming, 2015) and Vivaarium (Vivarium, 2019).
