Antonija Novaković (1979) was born in Zagreb, where she lives and works to this day. Her debut poetry collection Lako mi je biti lošija (I can easily become worse) won the international Bridges award at the 47th Struga Poetry Evenings. Prior to that, she was the winner of the Goran Prize for Young Poets at the 2008 Goranovo Proljeće festival. In the same year, she won the Prozak award for writers of short prose under 35 years. She has also published the short story collection Birali ste broj koji se ne koristi (The number you have called is no longer in service).
