Davide Nota (1981) was born in Milan, yet never left the region of Marche. He studied in Perugia and lived in Rome for a few years. He was contributor to the magazine La Gru from 2005 to 2012 and worked with the collective “Calpestare l’Oblio” from 2008 to 2010. He has published the poetry books Battesimo (Baptism, 2005), Il non potere (The inability, 2007), La rimonzione (The Removal, 2001) and the e-book I rovi (Thorns, 2016). In 2015, Nota founded the video art installation project Ermes Daliv in collaboration with Alice Linus, and in 2016 he released the collection of short stories and prose pieces Gli Orfani (The Orphans). Since 2015, he is working on an experimental novel under the provisional title Lilith (Un mosaic) (Lilith – A Mosaic); In 2017, this novel evolved into a concert for voices and interferences by the experimental theater and video art group COLLECTIVO ØNAR. His 2014 e-book Lettera a un giovane poeta in Italia e alcuni scritti precedent (Letter to a young poet in Italy and other past works) collects Nota’s articles that were originally published in the newspaper L’Unità. Since 2016, Nota is editor of a poetry blog for the newspaper Huffington Post.
