Arancha Nogueira (1989) graduated in Journalism and Communication from Complutense University of Madrid and currently prepares her doctoral dissertation at the University of Santiago de Compostela, under the provisional title “Fringe Area: The Discourse of Love in Contemporary Galician and Irish Poetry”. Her poems have garnered many awards, such as the 2013 Prémio de Poesia Francisco Añon, the 2016 Prémio de Poesia da Universidade de Vigo and the Prémio litérario Mazarelos of the University of Santiago de Compostela for two consecutive years (2017 and 2018). To date, she has published two poetry compilations: o único lugar onde ficar immobil and spleen en catro tempos. Two poems in this anthology were originally published in the abovementioned compilations; her third poem is published in this book for the first time.
