Doireann Ní Ghríofa is a bilingual writer, born in Galway in 1981. Her fourth book is Oighear (Coiscéim, 2017), and a collaborative book with artist Alice Maher is forthcoming from The Salvage Press. Among her awards are the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature, a Seamus Heaney Fellowship, the Ireland Chair of Poetry bursary, and the Michael Hartnett Award. Doireann frequently participates in cross-disciplinary collaborations, fusing poetry with film, dance, music, and visual art. She is Commissioned Writer for Temple Bar Gallery + Studios 2018, Artist-in-Residence for Cork Midsummer Festival 2018-2019, and an Associate of Trinity College Centre for Literary Translation, Dublin.
