Miriam Nash was born in Inverness, Scotland, and spent her early years on the Isle of Erraid, where Robert Louis Stevenson’s family once worked as lighthouse engineers. Her début poetry collection, All the Prayers in the House, was published by Bloodaxe Books in 2017. It won a Somerset Maugham Award and Eric Gregory Award from the UK’s Society of Authors, and was runner up for the Edwin Morgan Award for young Scottish poets.
