Àngels Moreno (b. 1993) was raised in Valencia and studied medicine at Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Her published poetry books are: “Clarobscur” (Chiaroscuro, publ. by Neopàtria, 2014), “Extrema al·legoria” (Extreme allegory, won the literary prize Breu de Mislata, 2015) and “L’usurpador” (The usurper, publ. by Pagès, 2017, won the Maria Mercè Marçal poetry prize). Several of her poems were included in the Catalan-Portuguese anthology “Mare Omnium” (publ. by Lastura, 2015) and the anthology “Entre mots i versos” (publ. by Universitat d’Alacant, 2016). In 2018, she collaborated with painter Teresa Vall-Palou in the book “La festa de l’intocable” (The fest of the forbidden), in the art exhibition Mira’t en axipèlag and also in a retrospective exhibition dedicated to painter Joan Claret. Her poetry has been translated into Romanian and Portuguese. In 2015, her article “Anatomia dels espills” (The anatomy of mirrors) won the Llega prize of the Fundació Bromera per al Foment de la Lectura (Bromea Foundation for the Promotion of Reading) in the category of essay and literary criticism. Her articles and reviews have appeared in various magazines, including Marxa Popular Fallera, Gargots, El salt del llop, Caràcters, Reduccions, Revista Saó, Diari Valencià. Moreover, in 2016, she wrote the column “El llibre de la setmana” for the newspaper Levante-EMV. She is member of the Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (Association of Catalan-Language Writers, AELC) since 2014.
