Alexandre Lortkipanidze (ალექსანდრე ლორთქიფანიძე, b. 1988) comes from Tbilisi. In 2009, Lordkipanidze graduated from Shota Rustaveli Cinema and Theatre University. In 2011, he received his Master’s Degree in Tele-Cinema Drama from the same University. He is member of the Elite Intellectual Club of Georgia and Captain of the Georgian youth team of the international intellectual game “What? Where? When?” He currently works as host and copyrighter of Book Shelter TV Show for young adult readers on public broadcast. He has worked as host of two TV programmes, Index on TV 11 and The Maestro Noon on Maestro Channel, and is also author and presenter of the program Hit Gallery on Radio Fortuna. Alexandre Lordkipanidze is the author of several film scripts and plays, which were staged in Georgia at various times. In 2011, 2012 and 2013, his short stories were published in a collection of the Best Stories of the Year. He has received several prizes and awards in literature, among them: Alubloba in 2009 and 24-Hour Theatre Festival Prizes in 2011 and 2012. In 2018, he won the Tsinandali Award for Best Poetry Collection of the Year for his poetry collection “Radish and Mash”. In his free time, he composes music. (Source: book.gov.ge)
