Born to American and British parents and raised in Luxembourg, Anna Leader is a citizen of Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, the United States. Leader writes poetry, plays, and novels; her work in each of these genres has been recognized with first prize in the Concours national littéraire (2014, 2015, and 2018, under-25 category). Her writing focuses on what we as humans owe to each other and she is dedicated to practices of inclusion and celebrating difference. Like many Luxembourgish writers, Leader has a vivid interest in languages and in translation, for which she has twice been awarded the Stephen Spender Prize for Poetry in Translation (2013 and 2015, under-18 category). After graduating from Princeton University in 2018, she has pursued a career in education, following in the footsteps of her parents René and James Leader.
