Nika Lashkhia (ნიკა ლაშხია, b. 1989) was raised in Tsalenjikha. After graduating from the N8 Public School, he was admitted to the Department of International Relations at Kyiv Slavonic University, and later continued his studies at the Tbilisi State Academy of the Arts. Since 2015, he works at Odisi Radio, where he hosts his literary own radio show “Thesisi”. He is also host of the radio show “Art Space”, where he promotes contemporary poetry. Since 2018, he is member of the editorial board of the literary magazine Ebguri, and also one of the organizers of the F5 literary festival. His debut poetry collection “Donor” was published in 2018 by Intelekti Publishing, and edited by Zviad Ratiani. “Donor” won the 2018 Tsinandali Prize and the Litera 2019 award. Lashkhia’s poems are regularly published in various magazines. He lives in Zugdidi with his wife and two children.
