Davor Ivankovac (1984) was born and raised in Vinkovci, Croatia. He writes poetry, prose and articles of literary criticism. He has published three books of poetry: Rezanje Magle (Crossing the Mist, 2012), Freud na Facebooku (Freud on Facebook, 2013) and Doba Bršljana (The Age of the Ivy, 2018). His works have been featured in many Croatian and foreign anthologies, while his poems have been translated into English, German, Italian, French, Romanian and Slovenian. He has won many awards, the most important of which are the Goran Prize for Young Poets (for Freud na Facebooku) and the Lapis Histriae award for his short story Ponedjeljak (Monday). He lives in East Croatia and splits his time between Nuštar and Vukovar, where he works as bookseller.
