Gonzalo Hermo (1987) is a Galician literature graduate who holds a PhD in Linguistics by the University of Santiago de Compostela. He taught at the professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Autonomous University of Barcelona and currently works in the field of publishing. He has written three poetry books: Crac (2011), Celebración (2014) – translated in Spanish and Catalan – and A vida salvaxe (2018). He has received a number of awards, among which the Crea Young Poet’s Award and the “Miguel Hernández” National Youth Poetry Award. He has participated in national and international poetry festivals, published articles of literary criticism in various media and translated contemporary Galician poetry into Spanish. He is among the founding members of the publishing house Chan da Pólvora.
