Zaïneb Hamdi was born in 1989 in Liege. She lives and works in Brussels. She is a poet but also a graphic designer and book designer, with studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre, in Brussels. In 2017, her first poetry collection Fils d’Arabe (Sons of the Arabs) was published by Tétras Lyre. It approaches dynamically, with penetrative and precise writing, current issues, which sometimes are colored by traditions and sometimes are nourished by contemporary events, while it stays far away from the expected and repeated clichés and stereotypes.
