Elizabeth Grech is a self-taught translator and works with various social scientists, NGOs and cultural and artistic organisations, and as a consultant with the CIHEAM (International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies), in charge of the English version of their works. She is also a literary translator and translates several contemporary Maltese poets and writers into French, among them John Aquilina, Clare Azzopardi, Norbert Bugeja, Antoine Cassar, Adrian Grima and John Portelli. Many of her translations have been published in book form and in literary journals. Grech's own poetry has appeared in a number of collections, and her first full-length book is due to be published by Merlin Library, Malta in January 2019. She participated in the International Poetry Festival in Sidi Bou Saïd, Tunisia in June 2018, and will participate in the International Literary Manifestation in Tetovo, Macedonia in October 2018.
