Vincenzo Galvano (1981) was born in Catania, where he lives and works as a lawyer. His debut poetry collection titled Ablativi Assoluti (In Absolute Manners) was released by the publishing house Giuliano Ladolfi Editore in October 2013. He has collaborated with IsolaPoesia and also regularly participates as poet – reader in the poetry sessions Notte della Poesia and Rito della Luce held at the Fiumara d’arte foundation. His poems have been featured in printed and online media such as the magazine Moby Dick, edited by Loretto Rafanelli, in Alberto Pellegatta’s column in Vivere Milano, in Atelier magazine, Luigia Sorrentino’s poetry blog at the website of Rai News, Giacomo Cerrai’s “Imperfetta Ellisse”, “Letteratitudine”, Nicola Bultrini’s column in the Italian newspaper Il Tempo, Nadia Castaldi’s Carteggi Letterari and Antonio Lanza’s Biancavilla Oggi. Vincenzo Galvano recently started a project, whose aim is to establish a map of the lives and careers of Sicilian poets from mid-twentieth century to date.
