Yiannis Doukas was born in Athens in 1981. He has studied philology and Digital Humanities. He was awarded his Ph.D. in Classics from NUI Galway. He has published the following books: The World as I Came and Found it (Kedros, 2001), Inner Borders (Polis, 2011, Diavazo journal Debut Poetry Collection Award), The Stendhal Syndrome (Polis, 2013, G. Athanas Award of the Academy of Athens), thebes memphis (Polis, 2020). Some of his poems have been included in anthologies and translated into eight languages. He has written the lyrics for two songs by Thanos Mikroutsikos, included in the album Stin Omihli ton Kairon (2017). He translates from English and collaborates with Greek print and digital literary magazines.
