Jacek Dehnel (b. 1980) debuted in 1999 with the short story collection “Kolekcja” (The collection). His inaugural poetry collection “Żywoty równołegłe” (Parallel lives) was published in 2004. To this day, he has released ten poetry books, including an anthology of his poems, and more than ten volumes of prose pieces. His poetry and prose have earned him many literary awards and prizes, including, among others, the Kościelski award and the Paszport Polityki award. He was five-time nominee for the “Nike” literary award and the Wisława Szymborska Award. He is laureate of the Gloria Artis Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture.
