Teresa Colom (born in La Seu d'Urgell in 1973) is a writer and poet from Andorra. Having finished her studies in Economics at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, she worked as a financial advisor and wealth manager. In 2000, she won the Miquel Marti i Pol poetry prize, as well as Honorable mention for the Grandalla prize. Her poetry collection Com mesos de juny (Like every June month) was published a short time later, and she has continued publishing poetry on a regular basis. Since 2004 she has dedicated herself to writing. She was awarded the Talent FNAC 2009 prize, and served as art director at the Barcelona Poetry Festival. Her very first narrative work, La senyoreta Keaton i altres besties (Mrs. Keaton and other beasts), received the Maria Angels Anglada prize as the best new work of 2015. The Guardian described Colom's tales as a "Tim Burton crossed with the Brothers Grimm".
