Jaume Coll Mariné (b. 1989) is native of Muntayola and also a Literature graduate from the University of Barcelona. He has published the poetry books “Quanta aigua clara als ulls de la veïna” (How clear the water is in the neighbor woman’s eyes, publ. by 1984, 2014) and “Un arbre molt alt” (A very tall tree, publ. by group62, 2018, won the Ausiàs March de Gandia poetry prize). In addition, he has published a number of books on Catalan literature during the baroque era and contemporary Catalan poetry. His poetry has been translated into English, Estonian and Croatian, and has also featured in various anthologies. He is a member of the editorial team of the poetry magazine Reduccions, and also plays bass guitar and double bass in the music band Obeses.
