Angela Cleland was born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1977 and grew up in Dingwall by the Cromarty Firth. She has a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Glasgow and an MA in Creative and Life Writing from Goldsmiths College, London. Cleland has worked as a supermarket store detective, a knowledge engineer, a business analyst in the banking sector and as the development manager for an award winning e-learning company. She has published two full collections of poetry, And in Here the Menagerie (Templar Poetry, 2007) and Room of Thieves (Salt, 2013), and one science fiction novel, Sequela. She is currently working on her next novel and a third poetry collection.
