Alba Cid (1989) is an author and researcher who studied Galician, Portuguese and Romance Languages at the University of Santiago de Compostela and currently pursues doctoral studies at the University of Oxford, where she is also head of the John Rutherford Centre for Galician Studies. Her award-winning stories and poems have been featured in numerous magazines, anthologies and literary editions, such as Poética da casa (2006), No seu despregar (2016), Grial, Luzes, Dorna and The Offing. She is a frequent guest on a Galician radio program dedicated to poetry and writes the monthly column “Cabinete de curiosidades” for the magazine Tempos Novos. She also maintains an experimental Instagram account at @ollobasilisco. Atlas is her debut poetry compilation.
