Rodolfo Cerè (1979) was born in Mendrisio, Switzerland and spent the majority of his life in the region between Lake Como and Lake Lugano. He is chef by trade and explores the opportunities for creative expression in everyday life through the poetic investigation of food and nutrition. He lives, cooks and writes in Zürich. His published books are: “L’alba del nuove idée” (The dawn of new ideas, publ. by LietoColle, 2008), “Debolezze” (Weaknesses, publ. by Pulcinoelefante, 2010), “Lo stato emotive delle cose” (The emotional state of things, publ. by LietoColle, 2012) and “Crisma di Aforisma” (Chrism of Aphorism, featured in the anthology “Geografie Minime” (Minimal Geographies) publ. by Joker Editore, 2015). He is regular contributor to Ticino’s weekly magazine Cooperazione. In 2019, the publishing house LietoColle released his new poetry collection “Il giorno del pannettiere” (The day of the baker) and his very first book of aphorisms “Spiegate alle vele” (Open the sails).
