Born in Leningrad in 1986. He is a painter, poet and translator. He holds a Master’s Degree by the Department of Literary Theory at the Faculty of Philosophy of Saint Petersburg State University. His main field of interest is the graphic aspects and materialization of the poetic text. He is showcased in collective and solo exhibitions since 2009. He is editor-in-chief of literature and literary theory magazine Translit. He has published three books of poetry: “Things that won’t fit inside your head” (То, что не укладывается в голове, publ. by AnnaNova, 2005), “Colorless green ideas sleep furiously” (Бесцветные зелёные идеи яростно спят, publ. by Kraft, 2011) and “Spasm of accommodation” (publ. by Berkeley: Commune Editions, 2017). His articles on literary theory have been published in the New Literary Observer, Logos, Moscow Art Magazine and Political Critique. He won the Andrei Bely prize in 2012 and he is member of the judging committee for this prize since 2014. He was also a fellow of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Université de Lausanne from 2013 to 2014 and holds a PhD from the University of Geneva.
