In other words, these anthologies show a tug-of-war between locality and globality. The former defines a familiar domain of reference, which the poets try to adopt as a field of formation of their identity, laden with contradictory elements of attraction and repulsion; the latter, however, functions as the modern catalyst of human experience, in a world that is changing at a rapid pace thanks to the diffusion of new technologies – and the Internet in particular – and the sharp increase in travelling, especially among young people.
