VALENTINI SANTA was born in Athens in 1975. She studied Italian Language and Literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and afterwards pursued postgraduate studies, earning a Master’s Degree in Translation. She is currently a doctoral student in Translation Studies at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 1993, Valentini Santa lives in Thessaloniki, working as foreign language and translation teacher, translator and subtitler. She also writes short stories and participates in literary competitions.
Her translations, both solo and collaborative, along with her work in the role of editor of collaborative translations, have been published in printed and online journals and magazines. She has also participated as presenter or committee member in many national and international conferences on translation and audiovisual translation, which is her main area of scientific interest.
Furthermore, Valentini Santa is the creator, administrator and content editor of the metafra-zoume.webnode.gr and metafra-zein.webnode.gr blogs, which she created as part of her teaching work as professor of translation studies, in which she posts papers drafted by her students under her supervision.
