[Anthologist] Sofia Kolotourou was born in Athens in 1973. She studied Medicine in the University of Crete and specialized in Cytology. She is a master's graduate of the post-graduate program of Creative Writing in the University of West
Macedonia. She is deaf, and she was Chair of the Akoustirixi Association promoting accessibility for deaf and hearing-impaired persons for five years (2015-2020). She writes poetry and prose. In December 2017, her collection of poems titled “Third Generation” was honoured with the State Award for Poetry, the most significant literary prize in Greece.
