Rumen Barosov is a Bulgarian poet and writer. He graduated in Bulgarian philology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". One of the 12 (together with Andrey Kulev, Alexander Dzuganov, Wenceslas Arnaudov, Dimitrios Marusopoulos, Ivan Krastev, Katya Lentoyanska, Panos Statoyannis, Tsvetanka Elenkova, Yassen Atanasov), founded in 1990 "Ah, Maria" – a magazine for literature and other delights. Its editor-in-chief since 1992. In 1995 he founded the Foundation for Bulgarian Literature, with which he carried out numerous literary and others. Over the years Rumen Barossav has published numerous debut and not-so-debut books of young Bulgarian writers under the name of the publishing house "Aquarium Mediterranean". In 2001-2002 he published in Bulgarian a series of contemporary Greek literature, with the financial support of the EU Culture 2000 programme. In 2003 he organized the project "The Bulgarian Village Dreams" in the village of Varbovo, Smolyan region, leading the popular current for the revitalization of dead (depopulated) villages in Bulgaria through cultural and artistic activities. About the same time he dreams of becoming mayor of Willow. In 2005 he became a member of the Association of Bulgarian Writers. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Management Board.
