Ivan Antić was born in 1981 in Jagodina (Serbia). He is a novelist, at times a poet, a tireless translator. He has published the collections of short stories Intensity (Serbian Home, 2009) and Membranes, Membranes (Cultural Center of Novi Sad, 2016). His short stories have been translated into English, German, Polish, Romanian, Macedonian, Slovenian and Albanian, and have been included in the anthologies Playlist from the beginning of the century (Belgrade, 2011), Nga Bergradi, me dashuri - Tregimi i ri nga Serbia ( Pristina, 2011), Cracks (Belgrade, 2012), Iz jezika v jezik (Ljubljana, 2014), The Magic Forest (Belgrade, 2016), Fear and Terror (2017), The smallest stories by Serbian writers (Belgrade, 2017), ZU ANDEREN UFERN. Transdanubisierungen (Vienna, 2018) and Short Stories (2021). He has participated in the international literary festivals Vilenica, Kikinda Short, IGNOR, and many more, while as a fellow of the Goethe Institute he has presented his prose work at the Leipzig Book Fair in 2001, when Serbia was the honored country. He received the Miloš Đurić Award for his translation of a poetry collection by Slovenian Dane Zajic. He lives in Ljubljana.
