Kaur Riismaa (b. 1986) was born in Tartu and currently lives somewhere in the middle of the forests of Harju County. He studied Semiotics, Theology, Drama and History and works as publisher and artist, although his principal occupation is writing. Since 2011, he has published a long list of poetry books, including Rebase Matmine (The fox’s funeral, 2012), Metamorfoosid (Metamorphoses, 2013), Merimetsa (2014), Soekülm (Hot and Cold, 2016) and Kogemata (By accident, 2018). He is also author of the novels Pühamägi (The Holy Mountain, 2015) and Pimeda Mehe Aiad (The blind man’s gardens, 2015).
